Questions Before You Begin?
Mindset coaching is personal. These answers are designed to help you better understand what to expect before getting started.
Ask MatthewThat is a good question. The answer is dependent on you and your injury.
Each athlete is individual and the time it takes to “Get My Mind Right” will vary. Yet no matter how long it may take, you will have a coach with you every step of the way.
On a Mindset Coaching call, we will dive into the frustrations and fears that you have and help you work to overcome them.
We will discuss the goals and dreams that you are chasing and plan out steps to put you on a path toward achieving those goals.
Once you complete the assessment, you will be contacted by the coach to set up a plan of action.
You certainly can do one coaching call at a time and it would be at the weekly price.
You also have the option to do one month or three months at a time.
That is awesome if you accomplish your goals.
At that point, you can choose to stop coaching or we can discuss new goals that you would like to accomplish.
If improving and leveling up your performance is important, then you will find a way to make it a priority in your schedule.
You're right — every story is complex. Your story deserves to be heard, respected, and seen in all of its layers.
As a mindset coach, I don't claim to come in with all the answers. What I do come in with is deep curiosity, active listening, and a commitment to meet you where you are in this moment.
You will not be asked to simplify your story or make it easier for someone to understand. A great coach doesn't try to fit your story into a one-size-fits-all approach.
Instead, they walk with you through the complexity, helping you uncover clarity, patterns, and power within it.
At its core, you are the expert of your life. My role is to help you connect the dots, build self-awareness, and gain tools to move forward, no matter how complex your journey has been.
Your story isn't “too much” or “too complex.” It is exactly where we begin.
Yes, your sessions are confidential.
Coaching sessions are done online and virtually.
If you are in the area, there is also an option to hold sessions live and in person.
Absolutely — not in an inflexible or military-style way, but in a way that can help set you up for growth, support, and real transformation.
Here are a few guiding principles I employ during coaching relationships:
-
Come as you are.
You certainly don't have to have it all figured out. The sessions are where vulnerability and honesty are strengths, not weaknesses. -
Be coachable.
Be open to feedback, willing to reflect, and ready to challenge habits and patterns. Growth happens outside your comfort zone. -
Consistency is key.
Just like exercising to train your body, training your mind also takes repetition, effort, and time. Showing up — even when it is hard — is where the magic happens. -
Mutual respect.
I am here to serve, empower, and support you, but this is a partnership. Respect and communication go both ways. -
Trust the process.
Mindset shifts don't happen overnight. It is a journey that takes time, but if you lean in, you may be surprised and amazed at how far you can go.
Coaching is an investment in yourself. These principles aren't about restriction. They are about creating a space where you feel safe to grow, thrive, reach for your dreams, and help your performance soar.
